In Second Grade Library, students:

-examine the “neighborhoods” of the nonfiction section of the library
-study award winning books, focusing on Caldecott and Robert F. Sibert Informational Book Award winners
-listen to folktales from around the world and learn about different cultures

Students have the opportunity to checkout books at the end of every library class and can borrow two books at a time. They can keep their books for up to two weeks and items can be renewed. Second graders will check out for the first time this school year during their second library class. Visit the hours page for additional checkout times.
